While I admit this is not the most original blog topic, it is very important. Living in the Pacific Northwest can be problematic on skin from fall through winter. Skin gets dry and dull looking, so I would love to share with you some of my new go to products. All product links are at the bottom of the article, for easy shopping.
Drink Up- Intensive
I often use this face mask in the morning if my skin is feeling extra dry. I was introduced to this product by a runway makeup artist. She gave us samples of this to use a week before the show for glowing skin, and it works!! Bonus I still have the sample pod (save these) and I keep it in my purse. This was a lifesaver when I got a head cold, I would apply some around the corners of my nose to prevent redness and chapping.
I had been wanting to get a sheet mask for a long time, but was overwhelmed with how many there are. I also didn't want to try a bunch just to find one I liked. A makeup artist had me use these before she did my makeup for a bridal styled shoot. She left it on for about 5 minutes. Since it is a citrus base it tingled a little and made me and my skin feel and look so fresh and awake. The very first thing I noticed was that they come in what looks like a baby wipes box. You get 32 masks for $19, thats .59 per sheet, as apposed to $1.50 + for just one mask. These are also specially designed to be used just before makeup so they wont make the makeup cake or accumulate in areas, it helps the makeup look dewy and flawless.
Indian Healing Clay
This has been a go to for me and a lot of beauty bloggers for a long time. Use this mask with organic apple cider vinegar, and I like to add a few drops of lavender oil as well. This masks helps to get rid of dead skin that can accumulate on your face and in your pores during the drying winter months. The best part about this product is it's only $7.89!!
I loved this article, that was written by a makeup artist friend of mine, who always has envy worthy glowing skin. I'm totally going to pick up some of the misting spray she recommends! I used to use First Aid beauty misting spray, but it's $17 for a small bottle, GASP! Check it out:
